The Rotary Club of Jackson, Mississippi, is hosting the celebration of Rotary International’s End Polio Now campaign with a luncheon at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. Event tickets are available for $30 per person.
Winners of the district’s essay and poster contest will be honored at the event.

- 2nd place essay $350
- Poster winner $400

Contest rules
- High school students in grades 10 through 12 are eligible to research and write about or artistically depict polio history and Rotary International’s work to eradicate polio commonly affecting children under five.
- The theme is “The Importance of Eradicating Polio.”
- Essays are limited to 350 words and should be submitted as a Word document.
- All contest entries must be the student’s own work created without the assistance of any form of artificial intelligence, such as ChatGPT.
- Posters should be 10 inches by 16 inches in color or black and white. Any artistic medium, such as pen, pencil, watercolor or acrylic paint may be used.
- Digital photos of the poster art should be submitted in jpeg format.
The winning poster will be used in Rotary District 6820 Polio Plus publicity and promotions.
